Union Minister Mansukh Mandaviya visited National Fertilizers Limited Nangal Plant. He reviewed the company’s progress and took stock of the steps taken by the officials to satisfy the country’s fertilizer needs.
During the visit, Mandaviya took a keen interest in production operations. He also interacted with employees during visits to control rooms. He appreciated the superb production performance of the 40 years old maintained Nangal plant.
Mandaviya also went to the Research and Development Farm of National Fertilizers Limited Nangal Unit. High-quality seeds are grown by the company in addition to extending soil-testing facilities for farmers. He interacted keenly with a group of progressive farmers at the Research and Development Farm and distributed Soil Health Cards to some farmers. Mandaviya also planted a sapling in the unit to mark his visit.
National Fertilizers Limited Nangal unit produces around 5 lakh million tonnes urea annually and various industrial products, like Sodium Nitrate, Nitric Acid, and Sodium Nitrite. Nangal plant is one of the oldest fertilizer plants in the country.
